As this ancient prophecy began to unfold in the first volume of this epic adventure (Buggy Crenshaw and the Deadwood Principle: Evolution), the tiny town of Lloyd's Hollow was razed to ruins: shattered by powerful earthquakes and ravaged by sinister, invading trees that rocketed up from the earth's core: harbingers of a new Evil who's determined to overtake our world.
The Evil Empress Eartha Naturalus--the second of five Unholy Scholars who'd been locked away centuries ago by the Angel Serafina--is about to make her entrance thanks to the untimely demise of the Sentinel who guarded her door, the Rebel Phoenix Alabaster. Having been burned at the stake and his ashes divided into three separate urns, the Rebel Phoenix's spirit still holds some power over the Empress. As long as the possibility exists that his ashes can be recovered and reunited before the setting of the harvest moon, the Empress doesn't dare enter.
The only problems are that the urns are lost and the harvest moon is rising...
While most of Lloyd's Hollow's most powerful Witches are nowhere to be found and the rest of its townspeople are now prisoners of the Evil Empress' followers, there are others who've managed to escape, learn of the lost urns, and begin to search for them, although not for long. New and dreadful enemies have arrived to put a stop to the revolution before it even begins.
As this concluding volume to Buggy Crenshaw and the Deadwood Principle begins, 12-year-old Buggy and her friends Sid Piccolo and Veronica Hamburg find themselves held captive by a roving band of newly discovered enemies known as the Sticklers. These unearthly creatures along with legions of others are determined to put an end to Buggy's quest to save the world by paving the way for the inevitable arrival of their wicked ruler, the Evil Empress. Should they get their claws on the Sentinel's ashes before Buggy does, all will be lost.
Using their minds, their magic, and their mischief, Buggy and her friends must outwit and outrun those who wish to stop them on their quest to save the world, but along the way, they'll be forced to make some very unlikely allies--the most unlikely of all is Buggy herself after she discovers she could very well be her own greatest enemy.
